Hello all!!!
I wanted to send greetings from Seattle and give an update on how things are going in my new city!! :-)
As most of you know, I moved up to Seattle on September 23rd so I have been in the city for about 3 weeks now. I started back at work last monday after two weeks of vacation, and let me tell you I wanted vacation to keep going! But so far the Seattle office has been great! I've been working at a client down in Federal Way (about 30 minutes south) and met quite a few people in the office, and all of them are great! Which I expected, but so far I've been working 8 hours a day! Amazing huh?! :-) I know that it'll get busier the longer I'm here, but so far its been a nice and easy transition. Plus the office seems really laid back. They even allow JEANS on Fridays! Thats a huge thing for me because jeans were a huge NO NO in our SD office.
My main clients in Seattle are going to be a couple of Not-for-Profit hospitals. I'm working on the Make-A-Wish Foundation Audit, as well as Providence Hospital. It'll be something new since I've been working on manufacturing clients for the last two years, but I'm up for the challenge!
I think so far my favorite things about Seattle are living so close to Amanda and Nick :-) And my APARTMENT! My apartment is in Belltown, and I have a view of the Puget Sound from pretty much every window in my apartment! I spent the first 3 or 4 days here painting, unpacking and decorating the place, and before I knew it, I was home :-). I've posted a million pictures on facebook, and will be posting pictures on here shortly so that if you don't have facebook you can check them out!
When I get home in time I get to watch the sunset from my window, and its just so peaceful. Belltown is a great place. Its in the heart of Seattle, within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and parks, as well as Pike Place Market. And the other perk is that its only a hop, skip and a jump away from Amanda and Nick's place. Which makes going over to spend time so easy! :-) And will be a huge asset once little baby Datz enters the world here shortly!
Although I've been here for a little over 3 weeks, with all of the unpacking and trips, I've only had 2 weekends in Seattle free to explore. And it turns out that I have a couple of friends from college that live up here now and so we went out in Belltown and Fremont the last couple of weekends to explore the nightlife, and I have to say I had an unbelievable time. We went to this Irish Pub called Kells as well as Frontier Place, and The Ballroom and it was fabulous!! Got to meet a lot of new people and see what the town is all about. I also went out to a karaoke bar in Ballard this past weekend :) and sang Total Eclipse of the Heart....it was AWESOME!
I'll be all over the city exploring and having fun so get ready for lots of pics! I'll send out a mass email to let everyone know I've updated my blog.

Make sure you keep in touch! I usually sign on to Skype in the evenings after work, and I have a half hour commute every evening so you can probably catch me then! I also just got a webcam so we can videochat now!!! yaya!

Also - I hope you all can find a time to come out and visit! I'm booking it all on my calendar!
